Sample itinerary

Mountain conditions shape every journey. Your guide may adjust timings to protect the group and make the most of the trail.

Days 1-3Kathmandu to the Budhi Gandaki+

Drive west from Kathmandu and begin walking through warm river valleys and terraced farmland.

Days 4-7Into the high country+

Follow dramatic gorge trails through Deng and Namrung as the first major peaks appear.

Days 8-11Sama Gaun and Samdo+

Spend time acclimatising beneath Manaslu with optional walks toward Pung Gyen Gompa or the Tibetan border.

Days 12-13Larkya La crossing+

Begin before dawn for the steady climb to the pass, then descend to the meadows of Bimthang.

Days 14-16Forest descent+

Walk through rhododendron forest to Dharapani and return overland to Kathmandu.
